OVERCURVE
The shoe closure is fast, reliable and secure, powered by a micro-adjustable BOA® IP1 caster in an Overcurve model. The construction of the Overcurve shoe features a scaled neck that wraps around the ankle, following the natural alignment of the two bony protuberances of the ankle: the lateral and medial malleolus. The result is an asymmetrical shape, with the collar of the shoe curving over the foot from the outer to the inner side.
R4 SOLE.
The moderately stiff R4 sole strikes a balance between comfort and pedaling efficiency, making it a true multi-purpose shoe with a structurally optimized profile featuring a 15% carbon fiber composition. The R4 sole also provides efficient ventilation with internal channels for effective temperature regulation. The cleat is positioned slightly more toward the heel than the traditional position to optimize pedaling efficiency and reduce knee compression, particularly suited to aggressive forward riding positions.
