For mountain bikers looking to wring every last ounce of fun out of the trail, the updated Lumen 900 SL eMTB is the ultimate ride. At 15.5kg and specced with more torque than ever, it tricks like a down-country bike and pulls like a full-power torque to blast you out of hairpins and easily overcome monster inclines.
The extra juice is courtesy of TQ’s new HPR60 motor unit, which boosts torque from 50Nm—as on the previous Lumen 900—to 60Nm of thrust that might make you feel like you’ve got a World Champion’s legs. Typically, that improvement comes at the cost of a heavier system weight, but that’s not the case with the HPR60. It’s the same weight as the outgoing motor drive used on the previous Lumen 900, but 20% stronger.
Energy management and range are also improved with cooling fins and new software that combine to make the drive unit as efficient as its predecessor despite the additional torque. Lumen 900 SL takes your rides far with its 360Wh main battery that can be complemented with the included Range Extender Battery. The small-water-bottle-sized extender attaches with a quick-release mount or easily stows away in a day pack.
This Lumen 900 SL features a brightly illuminated color screen for crisp viewing of your motor and battery performance. We’ve also specced it as your ultimate e-MTB with a 140mm FOX Factory 36 SL fork, custom Scott 130mm integrated shock, SRAM XX Eagle AXS, and Motive Ultimate brakes.
