NEW SCOTT ADDICT
The Addict is designed to provide all-day comfort. By reshaping the seat tube and redefining the tube profiles, we achieved 25 percent more flexibility than the race-focused Addict RC and 50 percent more than the previous Addict model.
By streamlining the seat tube just below the seatpost connection, we unlocked more vertical flexibility, allowing the seat tube to flex forward with the terrain. A slimmer, refined top tube adds additional vertical flexibility, while the seatstays remain flexible outward to absorb vibration and improve overall smoothness of the ride.
Achieving the perfect balance between comfort and performance is no easy task. Through exhaustive simulations and in-house carbon expertise, we chose the exact amount of flex in the frame to mitigate road imperfections without the frame being too soft or skipping.
