SCOTT’s commitment to making lightweight bikes is inseparable from its expertise in carbon technology. For the all-new Addict RC, we took our approach to making carbon road bikes and turned it upside down. Drawing inspiration from our approach to mountain bikes, we meticulously reevaluated our molding techniques, looking for innovative ways to improve performance on the road. The result? A significant 300 g reduction in frame kit weight compared to its predecessor, and without any compromise on race performance.
Precision engineering
innovative manufacturing process (PP Mandrel) enables high-precision molding of internal surfaces and transition zones, combined with strength-optimized tube shapes that eliminate additional reinforcements and unnecessary filler material. The result is best-in-class tube profiles and surfaces that significantly reduce total frame weight without sacrificing strength or stiffness.
Optimized geometry
The geometry of the new Addict RC has undergone a complete redesign to align perfectly with our modern specifications for this bike, accommodating wider tires and improving overall handling in all sizes. Whether you’re a professional racer or chasing KOM/QOM on weekends, the new Addict RC promises greater agility and responsiveness, ensuring an unparalleled riding experience.
