iC – Over the years, our component line has continued to succeed in uncharted territory, forever pursuing the magical blend of strength, lightness and ergonomics. Our integrated cockpit blurs the lines between components and frame, creating a perfect functional unity. The appearance of a complete system rather than a collection of parts. The result is lighter, stiffer, more aerodynamic, and redefines the aesthetics of classic bikes.

The foundation of our carbon components is our fibers. At Syncros we use mostly unidirectional carbon fibers. These exhibit higher tensile strength and elastic modulus than the various woven carbon weaves (tensile strength is the amount of force required to cause the fibers to break, while elastic modulus is a measure of the stiffness of the carbon fibers). They are then set up to get the best out of them (along their fiber length) and achieve stiffness (or flexibility) where needed. The internal sheet graphs are different depending on the way they are placed (0°, +- 45°, 90°), and this gives us the ability to create very light carbon products that allow us to be one of the leaders in innovation in this field. The 3k braided patterns (i.e., 3000 filaments per bundle) are used only in very specific areas, such as around holes, where delamination could be critical.

The Syncros SL superlight line uses the same carbon fiber and construction techniques to produce components that are on average 10 percent lighter while maintaining equal performance and strength characteristics. These race components represent the absolute top of the line and are designed specifically for SCOTT RC bikes.
