The Maxxis Rambler 700×50 SilkShield Tubeless Ready is a gravel tire designed to offer an excellent balance of smoothness, comfort and traction on mixed surfaces. The tread features a row of closely spaced tread blocks in the center to promote smooth rolling on compact roads and asphalt, while more widely spaced side blocks improve cornering grip on variable terrain such as dirt and gravel. The tire uses a 60 TPI folding carcass with Dual Compound to combine strength and grip. SilkShield reinforcement protects against most punctures and cuts by running through the entire tire profile. In addition, Tubeless Ready (TR) construction allows for tubeless use with the addition of sealant, improving traction, comfort and decreasing the risk of punctures compared to traditional chambered tires
