SCOTT Spark RC Comp – HMF Carbon Cross-Country MTB
The SCOTT Spark RC Comp is a full-suspension cross-country mountain bike designed to deliver high performance, control, and responsiveness at an affordable price. Featuring an updated HMF carbon frame, 120 mm RockShox suspension, and a 12-speed Shimano Deore drivetrain, it’s built to tackle XC trails, marathons, and technical singletrack with efficiency and confidence.
The Spark RC HMF Carbon Gen5 frame represents the evolution of SCOTT’s cross-country platform, developed with input from professional athletes to improve balance, speed, agility, and stability. The updated geometry allows you to turn every pedal stroke into effective forward momentum, while maintaining precision in line choice and control when the trail becomes more unpredictable.
The SCOTT Spark RC Comp is a bike designed for riders looking for a modern, lightweight, high-performance XC MTB with reliable components and an intuitive ride. It’s ideal for training, marathon courses, and cross-country rides where traction, control, and responsiveness are essential.
120 mm RockShox suspension with TwinLoc technology
The Spark RC Comp features a RockShox SID 3P Air fork with a Rush RL 3P damper and a RockShox SID Luxe Select+ rear shock, both designed to deliver lightness, precision, and control on modern cross-country trails.
The three-position adjustment allows you to adapt the bike’s behavior to trail conditions. Thanks to SCOTT TwinLoc technology, the suspension and dropper seatpost can be controlled via a remote, offering three modes: Lockout, Pedal, and Descend.
With 120 mm of front and rear travel, the SCOTT Spark RC Comp helps keep the wheels firmly planted on technical sections, improving traction, stability, and safety even when the trail gets more challenging.
Shimano Deore 12-speed drivetrain
The SCOTT Spark RC Comp is equipped with a Shimano Deore 12-speed drivetrain, a reliable and precise solution for cross-country and marathon riding.
The Shimano Deore RD-M7200 rear derailleur, the Shimano Deore SL-M6200 shifter, the Shimano FC-MT520 crankset with a 34T chainring, and the Shimano Deore CS-M6200 10-51T cassette provide a gear range suitable for steep climbs, sprints, and technical trails.
The tubeless-ready Syncros Silverton AL2 wheels, with 30 mm rims, are paired with tubeless-ready Maxxis Aspen 29×2.4” EXO tires—a combination designed for smooth rolling, grip, and reliability on XC trails.
Control, Braking, and Integration
To ensure safety on technical sections and fast descents, the Spark RC Comp is equipped with Shimano BR-MT620 4-piston brakes, paired with Shimano RT-CL300 rotors measuring 180 mm in the front and 160 mm in the rear.
The 740 mm Syncros IC-M100-AL2 cockpit and the Syncros SP-M100-AL2 dropper post enhance control and freedom of movement on modern trails. The Syncros Octopus Gen2 cable integration system keeps cable routing neat and integrated, contributing to a clean and functional design.
The frame features an adjustable head angle, fork lock, UDH interface, BSA bottom bracket, and Syncros-Acros headset with ±0.5° adjustment, offering a modern, compatible, and easy-to-maintain platform over time.
With an approximate weight of 12.9 kg in tubeless configuration, the SCOTT Spark RC Comp is a complete and affordable carbon cross-country MTB, ideal for those looking to enter the Spark RC lineup with a high-performance, reliable bike.
